Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is very strong academically. Philadelphia Zoo

When it opened in 1874, the Philadelphia Zoo was the very first zoo in the United States. Situated on 42 acres in a Victorian garden setting, the zoo features over1300 animals, including some that are endangered. A hallmark of the Philadelphia Zoo is its work protecting the natural habitats of the animals who reside there. Fairmont Park

Considered to be one America’s largest urban parks, Fairmount Park is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania covers more than 9,000 acres. In actuality, Fairmount Park is the entire Philadelphia parks system as it’s comprised of 60 regional and neighborhood parks. Some of the bigger ones include Franklin D. Located just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the upscale King of Prussia Mall is the largest shopping center on the east coast of the United States. Philadelphia Art Museum

Nestled in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park, the Philadelphia Art Museum got started in 1876, the same year as the Centennial Exposition. The museum’s collections feature over 225,000 works of art. There are up to 20 special exhibitions every year, drawing more than three-quarters of a million people.
