Lindbergh Beach
It’s been called Lindbergh Bay and Emerald Beach. Either way, Lindbergh Beach on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which was named for renowned American aviator Charles Lindbergh, is beautiful. Blackbeard's Castle
A National Historic Landmark, Blackbeard’s Castle is a must-see attraction on St. Thomas in the U.S Virgin Islands. It was built in 1679 the Danish as a watchtower to protect the harbor. Situated on Government Hill, the area’s highest point, the tower was first called Skytsborg Tower, which translates to gun tower. Legend has it that Edward Teach, who was known as Blackbeard, once used the tower as a lookout, hence the name change. [top]
Drake's Seat
One of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ biggest attractions is Drake’s Seat on St. Thomas. Enjoy a grand view of both Magens Bay and the British Virgin Islands. As for the name Drake’s Seat, it’s believed that the 16th-century explorer Sir Francis Drake kept an eye on his ships, as well as enemy vessels, from this spot. [top]
Bluebeard's Castle
A first-class resort, Bluebeard’s Castle on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands occupies buildings from the 1600s.
